Terms of Service
This is the agreement between you and YouRecruit HQ. It is written to be understood. Where a clause has real consequences, there is a plain-English box explaining them.
1. Who we are, and what this service is
YouRecruit HQ(“YouRecruit”, “we”, “us”) operates yourecruithq.comand its mobile applications (together, the “Service”). The Service helps high school athletes build a verified athletic record, present it to college programs, and manage their own recruitment.
By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility and age
You must be at least 13 years old to hold an account. We do not create accounts for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information — see our Children’s Privacy notice.
If you are under 18, you may use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian, and your guardian must agree to these Terms on your behalf. Certain actions — publishing your profile beyond recruiting use, being contacted by a brand, and any NIL activity — require your guardian’s specific, recorded permission and cannot be taken without it.
3. Your account
You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter and for keeping access to your account secure. One account per person. You may not create an account on behalf of another athlete.
No third party may represent you here.Recruiting services, agencies, and “profile management” companies are not permitted to operate athlete accounts on the Service, under any arrangement. This is a permanent policy, not a current limitation. If someone offers to run your YouRecruit account for you, they are violating these Terms.
4. Measurements, verification, and honesty
The Service distinguishes two kinds of number, and the distinction is the point of the product:
- Self-reported. A measurement you typed in. It is labelled as self-reported wherever it appears.
- Verified. A measurement produced by our own capture pipeline from video we processed. A verified measurement records what was measured, how, on which software version, and when.
We will never present a self-reported number as verified, and we will never generate a measurement you did not perform. This applies to our automated and AI-assisted features without exception: if you ask the Service to write to a coach and claim a time you have not recorded, it will use your real recorded number instead, or say nothing about it.
If your self-reported 40 is 4.34 and your verified 40 is 6.17, our tools will use 6.17 when writing to a coach. We know that is not what you wanted. It is the entire reason a verified number from us is worth anything to the person reading it.
Submitting video of someone else as your own, altering video to change a measurement, or otherwise attempting to obtain a verified measurement you did not earn is grounds for immediate termination and for withdrawal of every verified record on your account.
4.1 Verified records are checkable, and can be withdrawn
We publish verified measurements in a signed format that anyone can validate independently, for free, without contacting us. Verification will never cost money. The technical specification is public.
Signed records expire and are reissued, and we publish a list of withdrawn records. We will withdraw a record if it was issued in error, if the measurement is successfully appealed, if our measurement software is found to have been wrong, or if you or your guardian ask us to delete the underlying data.
5. Your content, and what we may do with it
You keep ownership of everything you provide — your profile information, your measurements, your messages, and any video you submit for measurement.
You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, and display that content solely to operate the Service for you: showing your public profile, transmitting your messages, producing your measurements, and generating the signed records described above. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies we must retain for the limited reasons set out in the Privacy Policy.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not license your identifiable data to third parties for their own marketing.
5.1 Game film
We do not host your game film. The Service embeds film from third-party platforms where you have already published it. We do not obtain rights to that film, and its availability is controlled by whoever hosts it, not by us.
5.2 Your public profile
A published athlete profile is a public web page. It is intended to be found by college coaches, which means it is also visible to search engines and to anyone with the link. We will not put your public profile behind a paywall, now or later.
Public means public. If you are under 18, your profile is hidden from the public until a guardian permits it — but once it is published, treat anything on it as visible to anyone. You can unpublish it at any time.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- impersonate anyone, or misrepresent your age, school, or eligibility;
- upload video of a person who has not consented to being recorded;
- harass, threaten, or send sexual or exploitative content to anyone, and in particular to any minor on the Service;
- scrape, bulk-download, or resell data from the Service, or use it to build a competing database of athletes;
- attempt to produce a verified measurement outside our own capture pipeline, or represent any measurement as verified by us when it was not;
- circumvent guardian consent requirements, or contact a minor for commercial or NIL purposes without the required consent;
- interfere with the Service’s security or availability.
Reports involving a minor’s safety are escalated to a human immediately, and are never resolved by an automated system alone.
7. Paid plans
Some features require a paid plan. Prices, billing periods, and what each plan includes are shown at the point of purchase. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never receive or store your full card details.
- Monthly plans renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel any time in Settings; access continues to the end of the paid period.
- Season passes are a single payment for a fixed term and do not auto-renew.
- Refunds. If the Service materially fails to do what the plan said it would, contact support@yourecruithq.com and we will make it right. Beyond that, payments are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise.
Losing a paid plan never deletes your verified measurements and never unpublishes your public profile. Free access to your own record, and to verification of it, does not depend on payment.
8. College coaches and recruiting outcomes
We are not a recruiting agency and we do not promise any recruiting outcome. We do not guarantee that any coach will view your profile, reply to you, or offer you anything. Nobody can honestly promise that, and a service that does is selling you something else.
You are responsible for your own compliance with NCAA, NAIA, NJCAA, state association, and school rules — including recruiting-contact rules and the NIL rules described in our NIL Disclosures. We provide information, not eligibility advice.
9. Suspension and termination
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these Terms, and we will act immediately where a minor’s safety is involved. Where the circumstances allow it, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond.
10. Disclaimers and limits
The Service is provided “as is”. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we do not warrant third-party content, including embedded film and information about schools, coaches, camps, or state rules.
Measurements are produced by software from video. They are accurate within the stated methodology and are not a substitute for an in-person combine. We publish the methodology so you can judge them.
To the maximum extent the law allows, our total liability arising from the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or US$100. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If a change materially reduces your rights or changes what we do with your data, we will give notice in the Service or by email before it takes effect, and — where the change concerns a minor’s data — to the guardian on file. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept it.
Two commitments are excluded from this section and will not be changed to your detriment: your public profile will not be put behind a paywall, and verification of a YouRecruit record will not be charged for.
12. Governing law and disputes
To be completed with counsel. Governing law, venue, and dispute-resolution terms are being finalised as part of the review noted at the top of this page. We have deliberately not inserted a placeholder jurisdiction or an arbitration clause: those provisions decide where and how you could ever bring a claim, and stating them speculatively would be worse than stating nothing.
